Screening and presentation of the festival ‘Golden Pencil‘ awards, including the announcement of the coveted ‘Roy E. Disney Award‘… presented to the person or organization the festival organizers consider has made the most important contribution to the world of animation.

8.00pm GALA EVENT

A fun meet ‘n greet event for presenters, industry professionals, invited guests and audience special ticket holders. Includes an exciting performance by the Pontiac Bay Orchestra… with film composer/conductor Hummie Mann… playing outstanding music from the world of animated films.

Internationally renowned layout and background artist, Peter Moehrle, presents his work and his creative techniques… with special emphasis on the color scripting, matte-painting and background design work he produced for such major Hollywood productions as ”ICE AGE‘, ‘MULON‘, ‘LILO & STICH‘, etc.

01.00pm WORKSHOP 02: Daniel Dociu ~ ‘THE MAKING OF GUILD WARS‘.

Respected artist and art director at ArenaNet productions, Daniel Dociu, presents his work and his art with special emphasis on the studio’s number one rated game production, ‘Guild Wars’.

03.00 pm WORKSHOP 03 Don Hahn ~ ‘THE ALCHEMY OF ANIMATION‘.

Award-winning Hollywood producer, Don Hahn, presents the fabulous production work and philosophy that he introduces in his new book, “The Alchemy of Animation“.

05.00pm WORKSHOP 04: Michel Gagne ~ ‘INSANELY TWISTED PUPPET PLANET‘

Fabulous designer/illustrator/animator, Michel Gagne, introduces us to the strange world of his imagination… showing some of his new game creation and the processes involved in getting it made.
