Analyzing the Assignment: In order to continue offering quality content to a rapidly expanding online audience, ABC-Disney needed a complete redesign of their Full Episode Player available on ABC.com. After creating the design specifications, ABC turned to Plexipixel to bring all the awesome assets into the interactive world. As a high-traffic site with a pretty diverse user base, the idea was to make sure the content was center stage and everything flowed easily without disrupting the viewer experience.

Bring on the Brainstorm: To ensure the very best possible user experience while staying true to the ABC-Disney brand, we would need to reformat the frameworks and assets to make the video streaming process functional, clean and totally seamless for the viewers. Each screen would be separated by two Flash files, one for resources and one for layout. Utilizing the design specifications provided by the client’s in-house team we were ready to get it down on paper, so to speak.
Execute
Creation to Completion: Our stellar PM’s got to work outlining the details for the team so they could start getting creative. We generated specification documents, redlines for each page layout and optimized all assets by converting them to vector formats. By building all screen assets in Flash, the client’s developers could quickly build-in and maneuver necessary objects. We outlined and created a prototype for the player to meet design specs including a video player for widescreen content. Using our in-depth knowledge of interactive and user experience we delivered to the client a package that was ready for integration so the team at ABC-Disney could concentrate on what they do best: making their viewers happy.
