Gene Juarez Salons and Spas reached out to Plexipixel to help them strategize their digital efforts. Plexipixel sat down with their CEO and Director of Digital to talk about business goals, pain points, and parameters and came up with a plan of action.
Gene Juarez built an amazing new Academy facility to train world-class cosmetologists. They needed a website and digital strategy to attract and enroll the next batch of vibrant, artistic students. With a mainly Millennial audience, we knew that the site had to be social and optimized for mobile. We also designed a site that would showcase and reflect the beautiful interior design of the new Academy.
To reach a youthful and fashionable audience, we used lots of eye-catching photos, fresh colors and fonts to spark some attention and reflect the interior design of the new Academy facility. To make sure that a very mobile and always connected audience could view and enroll through whatever device they choose, we developed an adaptive HTML5 responsive site that is optimized for desktop, tablet and phone. Google Maps navigate the user quickly to the nearest Academy, while also allowing them to take a 360 virtual tour right from their desktop or tablet.
Multiple sites and one marketing team means that updating the blog and seasonal website content has to be a snap. The Plexipixel team made sure to design an intuitive and easy to use UX content workflow of the CMS. And since the Gene Juarez marketing team keeps on top of the latest social and digital marketing tactics, the CMS also needed to allow the team to modify the right website tag elements to take advantage of the current SEO best practices.
