Game Night: MSN Games needed a way to improve its social media marketing, create a presence on several different social platforms, and to let social media audiences know about new games using a quick, easy system. Since Plexipixel is an expert at sticky brand of play, MSN Games turned to us to help them gain a foothold in the world of Social.
Conceptualize
Double Points: Plexi had just the solution for MSN when they needed to update their social strategy. We brought Hexic to Facebook and MySpace, and we also turned the MSN Instant Messenger version of Chess into an asynchronous game for both sites. We designed the social user experience around the games, incorporated their Badge reward system, and we handle the hosting all using our Dormouse platform, making it easy to track hit points and click-throughs.
Execute
Getting Fun out Fast: How did we know just the right solution for MSN Games? A little mouse told us! Using our proprietary tool-base Dormouse, we were able to distribute Hexic and MSN Chess to Facebook and MySpace efficiently and effectively. Dormouse also allows for flexibility during development to API changes such as OpenSocial 0.9 and MySpace Profile 2.0. It's also fully scalable to keep up with the increased demand as the user base grows.
Measure
Expansion Packed: Dormouse allows companies to distribute games like MSN Games' Hexic and Chess to a wide audience. Using our proprietary tracking tool Zabra, you can track usage of the games and click-throughs; there are currently over 37,000 active game players a month, and growing. We're glad we can contribute and make MSN Games a success.
Maintain
Level Up: The best part of the game is racking up the highest score. Our full social networking application solution includes the integration of analytics and tracking including the option of using Zabra, our customizable RIA tracking tool. That way, you know who's using the games, and how often they come back for more!
