From playing space invaders in the 1970’s to chatting online before the “interwebs” were even invented, Vicky has been a geek since before it was cool. In an increasingly fragmented and over-saturated world, Vicky’s extensive experience in weaving the creative realms of design and tech into “sticky brand play” has given her a unique understanding of the importance of meaningful, engaging content to the bottom line of any business. She is the Branded Entertainment expert on Dunn & Bradstreet’s AllBusiness.com. Her speaking engagements include LOGIN and Casual Connect’s Leadership Development Forum.
Matt Tamaru
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Matt was one of the first professional Animators/Designers to use FutureSplash (later renamed Flash). He formulated the Flash production process for a web and broadcast production studio in the 1990s. Matt assisted with concepting and was Lead Animator on the Napster animations that won more than 14 awards including Cannes Lions. Matt has been responsible for numerous groundbreaking award-winning interactive projects for companies like Nickelodeon, Disney, Post, Microsoft and Coca Cola.
Justin Nix
Sales & Marketing Manager
Before joining the Plexipixel team, Justin was a sales and marketing leader in the sporting goods industry for over 6 years. Justin’s experience has given him the chance to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada coordinating sales and marketing efforts while developing lasting relationships worldwide. He now leads up our sales and marketing department responsible for social media and marketing strategy. In addition, Justin heads up our client and partner relations, working with them closely to understand their business needs and provide the support to help accomplish their goals.
Lisa Smith
Project Manager
Lisa packs a comprehensive skill set cultivated with over a decade of experience in the web industry. With a B.S. in Management of Information Systems, her background lies mostly in development, though she's been involved in every aspect of the process. Over the course of 5+ years with Plexipixel she's done everything from web development, QA, and production to site management. She managed Microsoft's Office Online website featuring over 20 products involving product teams on both the pre and post sales side for integration of marketing together with help content, while maintaining a vested interest in the user experience in each stage of the product life cycle.
Lauren Ko
Project Manager
Lauren endeavors to bring the highest level of quality to her projects by being diligent and efficient, regardless of scope and size. With a broad array of project and account management experience encompassing over ten years, Lauren has spearheaded interactive games, websites and applications for clients such as Amazon, Microsoft, Hasbro, Google and Gene Juarez Salons & Spas. Notable brands include Transformers, Kre-O, MONOPOLY, Playskool and NERF.
Jesse Rinehart
Lead Developer
Coming from a 5 year stint in print advertising production, Jesse taught himself the basics of building websites and found his way to Plexipixel. Since then, the diverse array of projects we take on have allowed him to work his way from production and front-end work to back-end development and everything in between. Over the past 5 years with Plexipixel, Jesse has worked on some of our biggest projects including the Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Azure and Age of Empires websites as well as leading up the MSN Games Preview project.
David Seelig
Lead Technologist
David began working on websites over 10 years ago, writing photo gallery, blogging, and yearbook web apps. Since then he’s become passionate about design and usability, earning a B.A. in Studio Art and Computer science. He has worked on custom CMSes, consoles for network security systems, web platforms in Silverlight, and most recently on rich interactive media. He's particularly interested in mobile devices and data visualization. When he's not reading or writing code, he's learning about new technology and how best to use it.
Stephanie Newcomb
Lead Designer
Stephanie has been a member of the Plexipixel team for 3 years, during which time she has established a passion and expertise for user experience design. She is dedicated to not only making sites beautifully designed, but intuitive and functional; helping brands deliver relevant content to their audience. Most recently she has helped lead design and create engaging user experiences for websites such as Windows Azure, Microsoft Silverlight, MSN Games Preview, and Okapi.
